Why work with Organizational Constellations?
Organizational Constellations provide a living “map” of the dynamics of an organization. Like any living system, they need to follow certain laws and mechanisms to stay healthy and flow. You may gain a different perspective on what could be impacting your business success. This is a cost-effective way of uncovering the hidden dynamics or patterns taking place, bringing clarity and allowing for meaningful change.
What are some instances where working with Organizational Constellations could prove to be beneficial?
When there are problems between departments in an organization.
When there is a lot of turn over for one position in an organization.
During transitions like mergers or acquisitions.
When an organization is entering a new market.
When an organization is transitioning from a family business to a corporation.
When the employees have an insufficient commitment to the goals set by the organization.
When there is a feeling of being stuck or a lack of energy.
Who can benefit from working with this tool?
Managers or those people in charge of an organization benefit from this tool because they are the ones who can implement the change that is required. However, any person belonging to an organization who is having trouble within the system can also work with this tool in order to determine what needs to change for things to improve and flow.
What different methodologies can be used?
A client can work with small figures one on one with the facilitator , especially if it has to do with a very delicate subject matter.
A client can work in a group constellation in a “blind” manner. That is, only the facilitator and the client know but the representatives do not know what they are representing. This method is very effective and the benefit is that the representatives are more likely to only bring the information from the “knowing field” that the client will then be able to use when making important decisions.
A client can work in a group Constellation Workshop along other people coming to look at different issues. This is very enriching because participating in other Constellations provides useful information to everyone present. Also the participants who will be representing different aspects of the organization to be looked at, will possibly be more neutral not knowing any of the dynamics existing in the said organization.
A client can choose to have an Organizational Constellation with a small team from the organization in order to look at certain dynamics. These groups normally dont exceed 12 people.
How much time is needed to work with Organizational Constellations?
Normally it takes about two hours to do an Organizational Constellation. There can be a follow up a few months apart if there are still aspects needing a different perspective.
